WASHINGTON — Reporting today from the Situation Room, where the intensity of Operation Epic Fury has reached a fever pitch. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and General Dan Caine provided a staggering update on the campaign to dismantle the Iranian regime's war machine.

Hegseth confirmed that U.S. forces have now struck over 7,000 targets across Iran, effectively decimating their military infrastructure. The naval toll is equally devastating, with over 120 Iranian vessels sent to the bottom of the ocean. Hegseth made it clear that the momentum is only increasing, declaring that today would feature the "largest strike package yet" as America continues to bring "death and destruction from above" to those who threaten our interests.

The briefing took a solemn and powerful turn as General Caine honored the six American soldiers who have given their lives in this operation. In a moving tribute, he named each hero, reminding the world that America values every single life—a stark contrast to the radical regime in Tehran that mows down its own citizens by the thousands to stay in power.

"This is a battle between good and evil, make no mistake," the General stated. While the enemy continues to fire desperate missiles toward Israel and the UAE, our advanced defense shield remains unbreakable, vaporizing nearly every threat before it can touch civilian soil.

Later in the day, the focus shifted to the Oval Office, where President Trump hosted Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. During a spirited press conference, the President praised Japan for "stepping up to the plate" to stabilize global energy markets, unlike some NATO allies he’s previously called out.

When asked by reporters about why he didn't give advance notice of the initial strikes to our allies, Trump delivered a classic quip: “We wanted surprise. Who knows better about surprise than Japan? Why didn't you tell me about Pearl Harbor?” I personally laughed out loud, Trump is hilarious with a great sense of humor. To Hell with the CNN and MSNBC crowd and their shock and outrage. The President emphasized that the element of surprise allowed the U.S. to knock out 50% of the target list in the first 48 hours alone.

The President also took the opportunity to reaffirm his "America First" military doctrine, telling the gathered press, "I'm not putting troops anywhere." He made it clear that while the U.S. will do "whatever is necessary" to win, he has no intention of getting bogged down in a ground war or nation-building quagmire. The strategy remains focused on overwhelming air and sea power to eliminate the nuclear and missile threat once and for all.

As we conclude Day 20 of Operation Epic Fury, the assessment from the Pentagon is unanimous: the mission is running significantly ahead of schedule. Iran’s air defenses are flattened, their navy is combat-ineffective, and their ability to manufacture new missiles has been crippled. As Secretary Hegseth promised the families of our fallen heroes, "We will finish this." The job is being done with precision, lethality, and an unbreakable American resolve
